HOW LONG WILL THE TRIAL LAST?

Trials last anywhere between 2-4 hours depending on your personal requirements.

Jo Elizabeth and any artists working under the Jo Elizabeth brand are fully insured.

DO I PAY FOR THE ARTIST’S TRAVEL?

WHAT PRODUCTS DOES THE ARTIST USE?

We are not affiliated with any particular brands and stock a range of high end, cult brands as Charlotte Tilbury, Urban Decay, NARS, MAC, Sukin, The Ordinary, NYX to name but a few!

IF I’M NOT HAPPY AT THE TRIAL AM I COMMITTED TO BOOK?

Not if the trial falls before the four month cut off period, please see our terms and conditions for a full break down.

CAN I BOOK IN A TRIAL WITHOUT PAYING THE DEPOSIT FIRST?

No. Due to the high demand for wedding dates, we request the deposit to secure the date in the diary. This is peace of mind to both yourself and the artist.

HOW LONG SHALL I ALLOW FOR HAIR AND MAKEUP ON MY WEDDING DAY?

We Schedule each and every wedding so you know exactly what to expect on the wedding day.

Timings will vary depending on the styles required, however on average we schedule 2 hours for the Bride and upto 1.5 hours for guests, for both hair and makeup.

We endeavour to get your bridal party ready a minimum of 1 hour before you would like to leave in order to get into your dress and take any pictures.

CAN I REDUCE THE PRICE OF THE PACKAGE IF I DON’T INCLUDE LASHES?

The lashes are a complimentary extra offered by us so we would not be able to discount if you prefer not to have them.

I have a large Bridal party, can you ACCOMMODATE us?

Yes, we can accommodate as many people as you require. We suggest a second stylist per 6 services.

Will my makeup be water resistant ?

We use water resistant mascara and products where possible.
 

 

TErms and Conditions

Definitions

The following expressions are used below: :

''Stylist''  Jo Elizabeth and members of the “Jo Elizabeth” umbrella who are providing Hair and Makeup services.

''Client'' The Recipient of the service .

Securing Services (a)

( a.1)Payments are made in three transactions : (1)Deposit (2)Trial Balance (3)Final Balance( Deposit Deducted) via Bank Transfer Only. Should Cash or another payment method be more convenient please state this a the time of booking.

(a.2)This deposit fee is non-refundable if your trial falls closer than 4 months prior to your wedding date *( a.3) . This has been taken as an agreement between the client and the stylist to reserve your wedding date.  The deposit is subsequently redeemed from your final wedding balance. The booking is only confirmed when the deposit has been received.

*( a.3) Post trial: In the unfortunate event that the client does not wish to proceed with the booking, deposits are fully refundable within 48 hours of the trial, should the the trial fall within the parameters of clause (a.2)


(a.4)The trial payment, inclusive of travel, is due one week prior to the trial date.


(a.5)Final balances are due eight weeks prior to the wedding date, in this instance your.

(a.6)For enquiries and bookings made with in eight weeks of the wedding date the final balance will be due 48 hours after the trial date. In instances where the trial is not applicable or  is requested two weeks or less prior to the wedding date full payment is required to secure the booking.

(a.7)Failure to comply with the above time frames may result in loss of bookings with all previous payments retained.

Trial (b)

See ( a.4)

( b.1)Trials take place at the clients chosen location, travel, parking costs and congestion charges may apply.

(b.2) Appointments for trials take place Monday - Thursday ( excluding bank holidays)  9am - 5pm when the most daylight is available. Friday- Sunday trials are limited due to the popular demand of wedding dates on these days.

(b.3) Repeat trials are charged to the client at the same fee as the original trial rate.

( b.4) The maximum amount the stylist can spend at a trial is 4.5 hours for a makeup and hair booking. Additional time required for trial sessions should be booked as a repeat trial.

Cancellations (c)

(c.1)At any point the client can terminate the stylists services, this must be communicated  in writing. Deposit fees and payments may be retained as stated in ( a.2.3.5)

( c.2) Cancellations received less 24 hours or less before a non-wedding event will incur the full fee for the service.

(c.3) Payments that have already been made to the stylist for a wedding event that is subsequently cancelled  12 weeks or less will be retained.

(c.4) Cancellations by the stylist due to circumstances out of their control,rending the performance of their obligations problematic or unsatisfactory, and where a suitable alternative has not been found for the client,  will result in a full refund.

*If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the stylist, the company will  endeavour to do everything within their control to rectify the situation however no further compensation will be given.

Adaptations to service’s required (d)

(d.1) Notifications from the client to the stylist should be given at the clients earliest convenience should the agreed booking need to be altered in any fashion. This includes changes to the bridal parties numbers, event locations, times and dates. It is the client’s responsibility to notify the stylist of any changes in good time as availability cannot be guaranteed outside of the times agreed upon at the time of booking.

 ( d.2) Changes to the agreed booking are requested in writing to the stylist. Changes are not confirmed until the client has received a written response from the stylist.

(d.3) Changes to trial dates for both the client and the stylist must be confirmed in writing no less than 72 hours prior to the trial where possible. If changes result in the number of person(s) being reduced the stylist has the right to adjust the times/ dates and any previous discounts applied.

( d.4) Adjustments made to the number of services should keep in line with the terms set out in the minimum service requirements below.

Minimum Service  Requirements (e)

(e.1) Saturday’s in peak season ( April - September) have a minimum service requirement of Bride hair and makeup plus one other for hair and makeup or the equivalent service number : Bride plus two person(s) for hair/makeup.

(e.2a) Bride Only bookings between April and October will be charged at £300 for hair and makeup for the wedding.

(e.2) Final booking numbers and services required should be confirmed when the client makes the final balance payment.

*In the event that the numbers decrease the minimum service requirement will apply see (e.1)

*In the event that numbers increase an additional stylist may be required . Additional stylist are required should booking numbers exceed 6 services per stylist ( 3 clients for hair and makeup) They are charged at £100.00 per stylist.

(e.3) Surcharges will be added at a rate of £100.00 per stylist should the ceremony time require the stylist to start before 6.00am.

(e.4) If numbers decrease after the final wedding balance has been placed, payment will be retained.

Travel Expenses  (f)

(f.1) Travel expenses within the mainland UK will be incurred at 0.45p per mile to the client for every mile travelled exceeding the 20 mile radius, inclusive of the return journey,  from SW19 2BP.

(f.2) Distances are calculated using an online journey planner and travel expenses will be agreed upon booking confirmation.

(f.3) Parking and congestion charges are applied where applicable.

(f.4) If required alternative methods of transport, except motor vehicle, such as rail or flights will be discussed between the client and stylist at the time of booking.

(f.5) Distances calculated over 1.5 hours of travel from SW19 2BP will require and overnight stay for the stylist.


Expenses for  or Non mainland Bookings and Services  (g)

(g.1) For overnight stays and bookings outside mainland UK the following travel expenses are incurred:

*Travel to and/or parking from the stylists home to the airport. If travel to the airport is by car 0.45p per mile is incurred for every mile exceeding the 20 mile radius.

*All flights, accomodation and transfers to be covered by the client. The stylist will always endeavour to find the most cost effective option.

*Flights leaving  the airport before 8am or a 50 mile radius from SW19 2BP will require overnight accommodation for the stylist.

*£20 subsistence supplement will be incurred per team member, per night any bookings requiring an overnight stay.

Photography (h)

(h.1)  With the consent of the client agrees that the stylist can use any photography for publicity purposes. This will include, but is not exclusive to, social media pages and the stylists website. Should the client not feel comfortable with this please do let the stylist know prior to any imagery being taken.

Responsibility of the client and stylist( i)

(i.1)The client should inform the stylist  of any conditions that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes, but is not limited to, sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The stylist can not be held liable for any damages, losses that occur due to the client's failure to inform the artist of existing or known conditions. The stylist reserves the right to refuse or adapt services due to contagious skin conditions that may affect the business of the artist. The makeup artist reserve’s the right to refuse services in the event of abusive, offensive behaviour or physical violence.

(i.2) The stylist will always endeavour to honour the terms of this agreement to the best of their ability.
